Tidal Staff Spotlight: Meet Michelle
Michelle is the manager here at Tidal Brewing Company and has been with us since day one. Her job entails most of the daily operating tasks such as scheduling staff, coordinating events, and just helping take some stress off of Max and Dave’s plates. She was born in upstate New York, moved to Florida when she was 19, and hasn’t left since! Her favorite beer changes all of the time, but currently it is Pancho’s Cold Cocoa. She loves camping at Ginnie Springs and spending time with her husband and two sons.
Fun Fact: If rap and 90’s hip hop are playing in the tap room, you’ll find her behind the counter.
We could talk all day about how awesome she is, but let’s hear from her.
What’s the best thing about being the manager at Tidal Brewing?
My favorite thing about managing at tidal brewing is that it can take me out of my comfort zone at times. That has helped me grow personally and professionally. It’s a great place with great staff, awesome beer, and I am so happy that I get to be part of it all.
What’s been one of your proudest/most memorable moments working at Tidal Brewing?
I’ve been with Tidal since we opened last year, so when we won two silvers at the Best Florida Beer Competition,I was super proud to be part of that!
What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?
I like to spend my weekends with my boys and my husband. We’re always on the go.
You can usually find us at a sporting event or at a brewery.
If you could make one rule that everybody had to follow, what rule would you make?
If I had to make one rule, it would be that everyone has to use manners, be polite and treat people like they want to be treated!
(It’s lame, but it would be nice, right?)
If you wrote an autobiography, what would the title be?
Doing Things the Hard Way.
If you came back in your next life as an animal, what animal would you be? Why?
In my next life, I’d come back as an elephant. They are intelligent, loving and have very few, if any, predators.
What song title best describes your personality?
My Way by Frank Sinatra
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
If I won the lottery, first I would make sure my boys were set for college. Then, I would want to buy an apartment in NYC.
(I love million dollar listing, and I’m from NY)
What age do you wish you could permanently be and why?
If I could be any age forever, I’d be 32. It’s not too young or too old. Plus, I was skinny then!
If you could make a 20-second phone call to yourself at any point in your life (past, present, or future) when would you call and what would you say?
If I could make a call to myself, I’d call 15-year-old me. I’d tell me to take school more seriously, set goals for myself, and to appreciate my parents more.
What is one thing you want people to know about Tidal Brewing that you think most don’t already know?
I think that everyone probably knows already, but we really are a pretty tight-knit staff. We really do all get along.
We genuinely love it here and we love the beer.
